The Intercessor of Issyk-Kul

 The film is dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the stay in Kyrgyzstan of a great shrine that has come to our lands from Mount Athos. The documentary story begins with the history of the first icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary “Odigitrii” in the Holy Land and its miraculous appearance in Russia. Getting acquainted with the history of the sacred image, the viewer will learn why the ancient icon in Russia was called “Tikhvinskaya”, and also get acquainted with the history of the appearance of one of the lists from the famous icon on the Holy Mount Athos, where he became famous for his lacrimation.
